Lunch with Yaron Brook
Monday, September 27, 2010 at 12:36PM Dr. Yaron Brook was in town on Saturday, September 25, and five AOS members were able to meet him for lunch for a couple of hours before his flight out of town. We told him all about the AOS and our events and MiniCon and how awesome we are. :o) And we talked about politics and current events and spreading Objectivism in our culture (among other things), too.
It was so great to chat with him, and we hope to get together with him (and anyone else from ARI) next time he's in Atlanta. Oh yeah, and we gave him an AOS t-shirt so he'll never forget us!

Another wave-like phenomenon : flocks of geese. I admired a large flock over Stonehaven at the weekend, noting how they resembled my crosshole seismic gathers from the 1990s. P-wavefront, S-waves branching off, occasional reflections. But then they mess up the analogy by showing free will and the laggers play catch up or switch their connection to the leading group.
